I cannot go to the ocean
I cannot drive the streets at night
I cannot wake up in the morning
Without you on my mind
So you're gone and I'm haunted
And I bet you are just fine
Did I make it that
Easy to walk right in and out
Of my life?
Well, I'd never want to see you unhappy
I thought you'd want the same for me
The way you nullify what’s in my head
You say one thing do another
And argue that’s not what you did
Your way’s making me mental
How you filter as skewed interpret
I swear you won’t be happy til
I am bound in a straight jacket"
"I don't know who you're talking to,
with such fucking disrespect".
Oh yeah ....
I need some outfits like these ... funky!
Whoa ... in what feels like being dumped into a rather trippy Big Brother Sci Fi story, the Government of China have introduced stringent laws to control the amount of computer game time for minors. As of April 15th internet game operators have been ordered to install 'anti-addiction' software under what is referred to as the 'game fatigue system'.
In a nut shell, minors are recommended and encouraged to game under three hours a day - if they exceed this amount, an auto penalty system comes into play - their level gains are reduced by half, and after five hours, stop completely. At the five hour mark players will be flashed every 15 minutes with the warning:
"You have entered unhealthy game time, please go offline immediately to rest. If you do not, your health will be damaged and your points will be cut to zero."
Also, all players in China will now have to log in using their real names and identity card numbers to show if they are underage.
Well ...I get the addiction factor, and personally think that 3 hours of game time for a kid is probably plenty, especially on a school day. On the other hand, what is the kid going to do when he logs off his game? Is he going to stay on the computer and surf the net? Is he gonna listen to tunes, chat on MSN, play a different game? Is she going to move from the computer screen to the tv screen?
What about adults? I know people that miss work to stay home and raid. People that would rather socialize in WOW - than get out and see real friends. I certainly know adults who play more than three hours a day - I'm quite often one of them. When do we cross a line? What's the damage factor? Who has the right to control what we do with our leisure time?
