Passion

Passion realizes there is no button

that she can resist -

so she pushes them all.

She also realizes that Justification

and Rationalization make

gourmet alibis and she

never could cook.

So they share an apartment

close to the action

and call each other friends

... loosely

They don't go out much

but

Passion applies black lip gloss

by the neon light reflected in

a cheap compact;

she has

places to leave,

people to do.

If she has regrets

she never discusses them.

These are such fine vignettes, granting humanity to what were formerly mere adjectives. Words now have faces, walk through cities, struggle with relationships. I hope you have written more of these!
