I miss intimacy, connection

the kiss, chemical reaction, but

not the hit and miss -

the pursuit and distance,

the games of tag

and always being "it"

 

I miss, the kiss that didn't

happen, the I Love You

caught on the tip

of your tongue

tripping me up

while I run.
